This bar highlights rough-ground Sabah black pepper — a prized spice once traded like gold during the earlier spice route — the result is an aromatic and sophisticated dark chocolate bar. The pepper's warm, grassy notes add intrigue and complexity to the chocolate’s natural richness.
Paired with cacao from Pasir Puteh, Sabah, an origin that is single varietal. The cooling mountain climate give rise to beans with deep, mineral tones and a hint of tropical fruit, this cacao reflects the unique terroir of interior Sabah, close to Keningau.
